Hi, I'm Danila

(She/Her/Hers)

My counselling approach is primarily Emotion-Focused and can include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gottman Method or Mindfulness. I specialize in working with individuals and couples who are looking for support with relationship concerns, communication issues, rebuilding trust and security, or balancing their romantic life with their roles as parents.

Get to Know Me

Showing up to counselling takes courage and vulnerability, and for that I have a deep respect for all my clients. Even though you may feel stuck right now, working together can uncover your strengths and the resiliency that has gotten you through life this far.

Talking about intimacy, conflict, and emotions can be intimidating. But, these conversations also often lead to relief and hope. I offer a safe space where you can speak openly without receiving judgment or shame. Many of us did not have the best role models for communication and conflict resolution growing up, which can mean working through these concerns as an adult can be overwhelming.  Opening the door to exploring these issues can lead you to feel more in tune with yourself, increasing your confidence and giving you a better sense of what makes you feel loved and reassured.

In my work with couples, I recognize the conflicting feelings that many show up with: wanting to protect yourself, feeling deeply hurt or alone, and longing to feel accepted and close to one another. I believe that connection is what we are wired for and I know how painful it can be when our connection with others is threatened. I bring compassion and empathy to session and work with couples to rebuild security and intimacy.

No matter what you've been through, you’re worthy of experiencing close intimacy and living a life that feels authentic and rewarding.
